Tips From the Experts: Interviewees & New Workers

This is one of those rare posts that could apply equally well to librarianship or science.

Clearing out my documents folder I came across this list of links I referred to in my job search, and as I began my new job.

I feel that there are many ways in which we are judged based on how we look, the way we move, our responses to different situations, and it never hurts to examine if we’re making the impression we want to. Some things that create a negative impression may be habit, others may be the result of differing world views. As always, do what you feel comfortable with and believe is right.

Not all advice will apply or be appropriate to you, but it never hurts to know about the unwritten rules before you choose to break them anyway.
